Privacy Policy

No accounts, no tracking, no ads, no selling data. The selfie you style is sent securely to our servers and our AI provider only to generate the look you asked for, and automatically deleted from our servers within 30 days at the latest. Your rendered looks live on your device. To improve the app we use PostHog analytics, including unmasked session recordings of the app screen, which can show your selfie, your rendered looks and anything you type, and crash reports (see below).

• The photo you choose to style - uploaded over an encrypted connection solely to render the hairstyle, color, beard, bald, or makeup look you selected, stored temporarily, and automatically deleted from our servers within 30 days at the latest. We never use your photos to train AI models, and no human reviews the photo as part of rendering. A photo shown on screen can appear in a session recording (see below).

• An anonymous device identifier - a random ID created on your device, used to track your subscription entitlement and render credits and to count the app usage events below. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or any other identity.

• Purchase records - payments are processed entirely by Apple. We receive only an anonymous confirmation that a purchase occurred so we can grant your subscription or credits. We never see your payment details.

• App usage events: which screens you view (each screen is named), the buttons and other elements you tap (including repeated rapid taps), actions you take in the app (for example finishing the first steps, seeing the upgrade screen, completing a purchase), and app lifecycle events (installed, updated, opened, closed), sent with the anonymous device identifier above, the app version, and the device details the analytics software attaches (device model, iOS version, language, time zone). They go to PostHog (PostHog, Inc., United States), our product analytics provider, which stores them for us and does not use them for its own purposes or for advertising. We use them only to understand how Lineup is used and to improve it.

• Session recordings: PostHog also records the app screen as you use it, together with where you tap and the app's network requests, so we can see where the app is confusing and fix it. Recordings are NOT masked: they show everything on screen, including your selfie, your rendered looks, the style pictures, and any text you type. They are sent with the same anonymous device identifier, viewed only by us to improve the app, and handled by PostHog on the same terms as the usage events above.

• Approximate location: PostHog receives your IP address with these events and recordings and turns it into an approximate location (country and city). We do not collect your precise location.

• In-app surveys: if we run a short survey through PostHog, it may appear in the app, and your answers are sent to PostHog with the same anonymous device identifier.

• Crash reports: if the app crashes, a crash report (the type of error, the app code that was running, the app version, and the device model and iOS version) is sent to PostHog the next time you open the app, with the same anonymous device identifier, so we can fix the crash.

• No user accounts, emails, or phone numbers collected.

• No advertising, no advertising trackers, no data brokers.

• No selling, renting, or sharing of your data with third parties for marketing.

• No AI training on your photos.

The photos you style contain your face - that is the point of the app. Lineup’s AI edits only the areas of the specific image needed for the look you selected - the hair region for hairstyles, hair color, facial hair, and shaved-head looks, or the makeup areas of the face for makeup looks - while keeping everything else, including your identity, facial features, and skin tone, as unchanged as possible. This works only on the image (the pixels) of the photo you submitted.

Lineup does not collect or create biometric face data. It does not perform facial recognition, does not identify or verify who a person is, does not match faces against any database, and does not generate or store any faceprint, face template, face geometry, or other biometric identifier. It does not use Face ID, the TrueDepth camera, or ARKit face tracking. When you pick a photo, Lineup uses Apple’s Vision face detection on your device to check that the photo contains a face, so it can refuse a photo with no face before anything is uploaded. This check runs on the device only: it answers only whether a face is present, nothing from it is stored, and nothing from it is sent anywhere. The styling is used solely to render the look you asked for - never to identify anyone and never to train AI models. No human reviews the photo as part of rendering; it can appear in a session recording of the app screen, which only we view, to improve the app (see “What we collect”). Like all photos, any photo you submit is processed transiently and automatically deleted from our servers within 30 days at the latest (see “Data deletion” below).

To generate the render, photos are processed by our cloud infrastructure (Amazon Web Services, US region) and by one third-party AI inference provider, fal.ai, which runs image-editing models on our behalf. These providers act as our service providers under strict data-processing terms: they process the photo transiently only to perform the render you requested, do not retain it beyond the processing window described above, do not use it to train models, and do not use it for their own purposes. No other personal data is sent to any AI provider. Product analytics, session recordings (which can show your photos and anything you type), approximate location, in-app surveys and crash reports are handled by PostHog (PostHog, Inc., United States) as our service provider, only to help us improve the app. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone for advertising or marketing, and we do not use data brokers.

Server-side copies of photos and renders are deleted automatically within 30 days at the latest. You can also use Settings → Delete my data in the app at any time to remove rendered looks stored on your device. Your purchased credits are retained so you don’t lose what you paid for. Usage events, session recordings and crash reports already sent to PostHog are not removed by that button; email us at support@yiriba.com and we will delete them.

Lineup is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the app.
